College sports have returned, and Tijuana Flats is joining the ride. The fast-casual Tex-Mex brand is partnering with Florida’s biggest athletics brands, inking a new concession deal with the University of Florida and Florida State University.
Tijuana Flats, a proud Florida-based company, announced a four-year agreement with the two universities in multiple sports, including Gator Football and Basketball and Seminole Football and Baseball.
While the company builds a national footprint through a highly anticipated return to franchising, its focus remains on targeting opportunities for growth in its home state.
“We’re making a concerted effort to own our backyard and forge new relationships,” said Eric Taylor, Tijuana Flats Vice President of Development. “When you’re in Gainesville or Tallahassee we have a presence, and now we’ll have more than that. We’ll have a partnership and an increased relationship with the community.”
Both agreements offer Tijuana Flats key concessions locations in the stadiums. This means fans will easily be able to find and enjoy Tijuana Flats as they return to the stands.
“We have a prime endzone location at UF and multiple locations at FSU,” Taylor said.
The concession locations will offer a limited menu full of Tijuana Flats favorites such as tacos and burritos, providing the quality food and customer service that fans across Florida have come to love.
[NOTE: Since publication, this agreement has been renewed for the 2021-2022 season.]
